Subject: Athena Design to show MESA at NEXTSTEP EXPO
Athena Design Showing Mesa at EXPO
June 16, 1994 - BOSTON - Athena Design, Inc. will be at
NEXTSTEP EXPO showing the award winning Mesa spreadsheet in the GS
Corp booth, #624.
Mesa, the leading spreadsheet in the NEXTSTEP marketplace
appears on GS Corp's innovative, interactive multimedia CD ROM of
NEXTSTEP software products.
Mesa's newest features are available as a free upgrade to
all registered users. The new version includes an enhanced Object
Library for faster MesaView display updates, Excel 4.0 file
compatibility, support for NEXTSTEP for HP PA-RISC, and user
interface improvements. Please ftp the latest version (1.5B)
from our archive site at ftp.athena.com.
Mesa spreadsheet software can be "hot linked" to other
NEXTSTEP applications while remaining compatible with existing
spreadsheets. Because it is a traditional spreadsheet, users will
be comfortable with Mesa's familiar user interface. A toolbar
puts common functions within easy reach, or Drag and Drop them
onto the worksheet.
Mesa has superior integration with SQL databases. Queries
can exchange data and insert, delete and update your database.
Graphing your data and generating reports is easy with a Visual
Report Builder and your choice of several 2D and 3D graphs.
Mesa accepts real-time feeds from any source and serves as
a front-end for real-time financial analysis. Mesa is fully
object-oriented and includes MOLI P the Mesa Object Library
Interface P which allows corporate developers to use Mesa as the
spreadsheet engine for custom applications. Mesa's palletized
objects can be integrated into custom apps via NEXTSTEP's
InterfaceBuilder.
Athena Design, Inc. is committed to supporting additional
NEXTSTEP and OpenStep platforms as they become available. Mesa
runs on Intel, HP PA-RISC, and Motorola.
Athena Design, Inc. was founded in 1989 by David Pollak to
produce Mesa spreadsheet software for 32-bit operating
environments. For more information about Mesa or Athena Design,
